Malcolm Edward Randolph
Coordinator of Recruitment
"It's a continuous circle; the money is given by USF employees to actually fund events and resources around the University."
Born in Florida, bachelor's degree in Sociology and Africana Studies from USF
"As an undergraduate student here at USF, I had always heard about the Faculty & Staff Campaign because one of my dorm suitemates was a recipient of a scholarship that is funded by Faculty & Staff giving." Malcolm Randolph earned his degree in Sociology and Africana Studies from USF, and while doing so, he worked on campus as a student assistant in the Office of Academic Advising, Undergraduate Admissions, and the Graduate School.
Upon graduation, Malcolm was offered an opportunity to work as a graduate school recruiter for the Graduate School where, as an employee of USF, he continued to learn more about the Faculty & Staff Campaign through various organizations that he became involved with.
His exposure to the Faculty & Staff Campaign gave him the inclination to give back and to get involved, "Over the years, I have contributed to different funds; I choose the funds that I know of, and where the money goes, and I have also served as the area representative / Campaign volunteer for my office." As an area representative, Malcolm has promoted the Faculty & Staff Campaign within the Graduate School, helping his co-workers see the opportunities in giving to USF. "It's a continuous circle; the money is given by the employees, to actually funds events and resources around the University." Malcolm feels for him personally, that this is a way to give back, "Even though we are a state institution, I know that all funding does not come from the state or the government, and it has always been my ideal if I can give, give, and this is one source in which I can give back to the University and my community."
