About the Project

During the month of November, our nation honors the service and sacrifice of our U.S. veterans.  The USF Office of Veteran Success is raising funds to help continue our mission of providing a focused pathway to success for veterans transitioning from the military community into a meaningful post-service career.

Our office is dedicated to ensuring that the University of South Florida is the preferred institute of higher learning for student veterans. We support this mission by providing quality services leading to academic success, professional growth and meaningful employment. They have served our country. Help our veterans as they transition to serving our community.

Who We Are

The Office of Veteran Success (OVS) is committed to serving over 2,000 veterans and service members representing all five military branches, as well as eligible family members pursuing a vast array of degree programs throughout the University of South Florida System.

We believe that we owe our veterans and their families a debt of gratitude for their service and sacrifice in preserving our freedom.  We accomplish this by providing a one-stop service center that meets the unique needs of our veterans as they transition from military to civilian life.

The Impact

Supporting the Office of Veteran Success will provide student veterans with the help needed to ensure "Success Beyond Service." This is done through our departmental programs such as Academic Enhancement, Vet to Vet Tutoring, Career Mentoring, Scholarships, the Vet Success on Campus partnership with the VA, VA Work Study and elective courses offered just for veterans. In addition, we provide a wide variety of sponsored extracurricular activities such as student veteran organizations, student veteran networking events, graduation ceremonies and family-friendly tailgates.
