The Project

The Don’t Stop, Don’t Drop (DSDD) initiative was established in 2008 to help students overcome financial barriers in order to graduate. Over the last academic year, 93% of students who received DSDD support graduated in the semester they received the award. This fund is administered by a review committee comprised of staff from USF Student Affairs & Student Success who carefully examine the records of all students nominated for support. The review committee considers the extent of need, recent academic records, and the student’s financial history. Funds are only awarded if the student is on a successful path towards graduation and has exhausted all other financial support options.

Who We Are

USF Student Affairs & Student Success is committed to delivering a high-quality undergraduate experience both in and out of the classroom. By cultivating student engagement, development and learning, we strive to enrich the student experience and ensure that every student who enters USF has the opportunity to succeed. As a university on the path to preeminence, USF is dedicated to increasing graduation rates and retention. Since 2009, our six-year graduation rate has increased by 20.5% and our four-year rate has climbed from 24% to 51%. Although these are most impressive gains, we are determined to continue embracing opportunities that enhance our students’ academic progress.

The Impact

By supporting Don’t Stop, Don’t Drop, you are investing in the future by making it possible for hard-working students nearing the end of their degree to reach their full potential. These students represent a solid return on your investment, as they become tomorrow’s leaders in business, industry, science, law and education.

What Your Gifts Will Do

Many people receiving aid from Don't Stop Don't Drop are nontraditional students who have exhausted their eligibility for financial aid, encountered excess credit hour charges caused by transferring from other intuitions or switching majors, or are experiencing life-changing circumstances like job loss, addition of dependents or death of a provider. Your gifts will go directly to students who have encountered an unexpected financial need and help them persist to graduation in a timely manner.
